Stamp Duty Calculator – Easy to Use

The stamp duty is payable on instruments mentioned in the Stamp Act, 1899. The Stamp Act provides that an instrument includes every document by which any right or liability is, or purports to be, created, transferred, limited, extended, extinguished or recorded. Therefore, the parties to an instrument mentioned as chargeable with duty are, subject to agreement, liable to pay stamp duty as described in the Schedule to the Stamp Act. Under the Act, the stamp duty is fixed by the provincial governments for each province and the federal government for the Capital Territory of Islamabad.
